Introduction

Long code Service (also called Virtual Mobile Number Service) is a service used for receiving incoming messages by the organization to capture responses from clients or people who want to interact with the company in an automated format. TEXTLINEprovides this type of Interactive Messaging service which helps organizations to receive SMS from any part of the world. It is just like a mobile number but all the responses are directly captured and stored on a web interface, which facilitates the management of such responses by the organizations.

Types of Long Code Service:

1. Shared Long Code Service

   In Shared Long code service, a Keyword is assigned to the organization and the number is used by multiple organizations. All the incoming messages are distributed to the organization on the basis of the first word (also called Keyword) of the message received.

   Note:

   • Long Code will be of 10 Digit
   • End user will be charged with regular mobile to mobile SMS charges
   • Available Shared Long codes are 1) 9722430430 , 2) 9722572257
   • Charges will be applied on a per keyword basis
   • Unlimited free Sub Keywords can be created
   • Responses can be forwarded to the predefined URL of the organization, if required
   • Auto response can be predefined
   • Charges of auto response will be additional for which SMS Pack needs to be taken
   • Service Tax Additionally Applicable

2. Dedicated Long Code Service

   In Dedicated Long code service, Multiple Keywords are assigned to a single organization and the Number is used by a Single Organization.

   Note:

   • Long Code will be of 10 Digit
   • Charges will be applied per Number
   • Unlimited Keywords can be created
   • Responses can be forwarded to the predefined URL of the organization, if required
   • Auto response can be predefined
   • Charges of auto response will be additional for which SMS Pack needs to be taken
   • Number options will be provided, additional charges may apply if any premium number is required
